Hawk and Hare Inn - New B&B next to the Akakura Golf Club / tennis courts overseen by mine host, Mike Perrin. Includes a public bar, plus sporting activities and a falconry program. Free shuttle service to/from all local ski resorts, sightseeing spots and train station.
Soratobu Usagi Myoko - Situated in Suginosawa Myoko, this hotel is close to the Myoko Suginohara ski area. Offers comfortable and affordable accommodation (equipped with a well-maintained kitchen), plus nearby hot springs.

Canadian House - Western and Japanese style accommodation, English speaking host, along with bike and sports gear hire. Collection from Myokokogen Station station can be arranged.

Akakura Kanko Hotel - Probably Myoko's most famous establishment. Perched high on the slopes of Shin-Akakura one can ski in and ski out.
Green Bell Cabins - Fabulous self contained log cabins located a short distance from the Ikenotaira and Akakura skifields. Can take up to 14 people. The proprietor also owns a lodge overlooking Lake Nojiri. Bookings can only be made in Japanese via phone or the website.

Ten minutes by car from Myokokogen station
Akakura Yours Inn
Five minutes by car from Myokokogen station and only a short distance to Akakura Ski Village. Mine host Ogasawara-san is a well know local identity

Ikenotaira

Hotel Alpenblick
Adjacent to Ikenotaira chairlifts and 'Kids Garden' play area plus a great onsen! Ten minutes by car from Myokokogen station or collection from the station can be arranged.

Madarao and Tangram

Barton Hotel
Twenty minutes by car from Myokokogen station. The hotel has both an inside and outside onsen and is conveniently close to both Lake Nojiri and local resorts.
Madarao Elm Pension
Twenty minutes by car from the Toyota-Iiyama interchange on the Joshin-Estsu Expressway
Mountain Inn Maroudo Hosts will collect guests from the JR Iiyama Station
Pension Four Seasons Alight at JR Iiyama Station and take a bus to Madarao-kogen

Thirty minutes by bus from JR Iiyama Station

Togakushi

One hour by bus from JR Nagano Station or thirty minutes drive from Lake Nojiri

Suginosawa
